Job Title: Manager, CIB Credit

Job Purpose:

Assist the sales team in preparing credit proposals to grow the bank's lending book while maintaining high-quality lending assets.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare credit applications (AFFs) within acceptable turnaround times.

2. Participate in New Business Application Committee (NBAC) and Distribution Committee meetings.

3. Discuss key covenants, cover ratios, and undertakings with business teams.

4. Determine credit appetite and propose structures.

5. Identify and assess risk areas and mitigating factors.

6. Prepare formal credit applications and documentation.

7. Manage pipeline and provide thorough risk assessments.

8. Conduct stress tests and assess client performance.

9. Implement deals and reconcile credit papers with legal documents.


Qualifications:

1. Degree in Finance or related field.

2. Master's degree in Business or related field (added advantage).

3. Credit/Risk-related professional qualifications (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

4. At least 5 years' experience in risk management.

5. Experience handling large credit portfolios.
