Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management & Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all financial transactions.

• Supervise cash and bank management, including reconciliations and balance tracking.

• Prepare and review Monthly Financial Reports (MFR) and upload them to the global finance system.

• Conduct budget vs actual analysis, and hold monthly financial review meetings with project teams.

• Maintain regulatory and tax compliance; liaise with banks and donors as needed.

Audit & Compliance

• Prepare for internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.

• Implement and monitor internal control systems and accountability mechanisms.

• Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, particularly from EU and US government funders.

• Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise and mentor the Finance Assistant.

• Lead financial capacity building sessions for project staff and partners.

• Work closely with program and finance teams at both the local and national levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN).

• Minimum 5 years of relevant NGO finance experience, including 3 years with donor-funded projects.

• Strong knowledge of EU/US donor compliance requirements.

• Excellent skills in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong command of English (spoken and written).

• Ability to travel up to 30% within Nigeria.
