2. Responsibilities: The WASH Officer’s duties include:
- Providing technical support: Offering expertise and advice related to WASH programs.
- Offering operational assistance: Helping in the day-to-day functioning and management of WASH initiatives.
- Providing administrative support: Handling paperwork and administrative tasks relevant to WASH programming.
3. Focus Areas: The Officer especially focuses on WASH in institutions, which encompasses:
- Schools
- Healthcare facilities
- Public spaces such as markets and transport hubs
4. Program Development and Implementation: The Officer will: - Prepare and implement various tasks related to WASH programming.
- Manage the activities and goals associated with the WASH outputs, including Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) initiatives.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation: A key part of the role is to monitor and assess the effectiveness of WASH programs, ensuring they meet the intended objectives and contribute positively to the country program results.
1. Develop and implement WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) programmes aligning with organizational strategies.
2. Conduct needs assessments, gap analyses and situational analyses.
3. Design and propose programme concepts, budgets and workplans.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to set programme goals, objectives and indicators.
5. Ensure programme integration with broader humanitarian and development initiatives.

3. Monitor and report on programme progress, achievements and challenges.
