WIN is seeking a qualified and experienced finance professional to ensure the organization's financial health and enable them to effectively pursue their mission of empowering women and children in Nigeria. The Finance Officer position is crucial to the organization's success and requires a strong understanding of NGO financial management, donor compliance, and Nigerian financial regulations.

Finance Officer Job Summary:


Role: The Finance Officer is responsible for the effective financial management of WIN, ensuring accountability, compliance, and financial sustainability.

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employment: Full-time

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting: Developing and monitoring budgets, financial planning, forecasting.

  • Accounting: Maintaining financial records, processing payments, reconciling accounts.




  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (taxes, pensions etc) and donor regulations.

  • Grants: Tracking donor funds, preparing donor reports.

  • Audits: Preparing for audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Cost Control: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing financial risks.

  • Payroll: Processing payroll and managing employee benefits.

  • Reporting: Preparing financial reports and conducting financial analysis.

  • Capacity Building: Training staff on financial processes.

• Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of financial management experience, preferably in the NGO sector.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN) are an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of donor-funded project management.

  • Proficiency in financial management software and Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Commitment to transparency and accountability.

Salary: N200,000 – N250,000 per month.
